Eilish responded to the comments, stating that 'some people have no comprehension of how much you have to fuel your body to do this type of training.' She also referred to the commenters as 'a bunch of clowns.'

Her mother and coach, Liz, also spoke out against the comments, calling them 'demeaning and abusive.' Liz expressed concern for other young athletes who may not be as resilient as Eilish and could be affected by such comments.

This is not the first time Eilish has faced body-shaming. In 2019, she responded to comments about her weight by saying 'go body-shame elsewhere.' The incident highlights the need for greater support and protection for athletes from online abuse.
