ZA/UM Studio's New Project

ZA/UM Studio, the company behind the critically acclaimed game Disco Elysium, has announced a new game called Project [C4]. The game is described as a "genre-defining RPG" and features a teaser trailer with disturbing imagery. However, details about the game's mechanics and storyline are still scarce.

The studio has been plagued by layoffs, firings, and departures of key team members, including creator Robert Kurvitz, art director Aleksander Rostov, and writer Helen Hindpere. The new executive suite has been accused of creating a hostile work environment, particularly for women.

Lena Raine's Earthblade Soundtrack

Lena Raine, the composer behind the music for Celeste, has released a concept album for the cancelled game Earthblade. The album, titled EARTHBLADE ~ Across the Bounds of Fate, features music that Raine had written for the game before its cancellation. Raine cited older animation and film as inspiration for the album, including the works of Joe Hisaishi and Yoko Kanno.

Earthblade was supposed to be a 2D exploration-action game, but it was cancelled in January due to the studio's struggles. The game's director, Maddy Thorson, stated that the game had been a struggle to work on for a long time, and the team had decided to cancel it.
