Verizon has announced various promo codes and deals for its customers, including up to $830 off new smartphones when trading in an old phone and getting a new line on the Unlimited Ultimate plan. Additionally, Amazon has decided to end support for its Appstore on Android devices, effective August 20th. Although apps already downloaded from the Appstore will not disappear, they will no longer receive updates. The Appstore will still be available on Fire TV and Tablet devices, where it serves as the default app marketplace. Amazon is also discontinuing its Amazon Coins program, a virtual currency used to purchase apps and in-app items.
