TCL's New Mini LED TV

TCL has unveiled a new TV in its Precise Dimming Series, the QM7K, a Mini LED TV and a follow-up to the recently-released QM6K. The QM7K uses the company's Halo Control Technology Suite, which includes a range of tweaks to improve the dimming and picture quality of its Mini LEDs.

The company claims that the QM7K offers higher peak brightness than its predecessors and a new anti-reflective panel. Additionally, the TV features enhanced color accuracy, gray scale accuracy, and virtually no blooming, thanks to the company's Super High Energy LED Chip and Super Condensed Micro Lens.

The QM7K also features a bi-directional 23-bit backlight controller, allowing for granular control of over 65,000 levels of brightness for each LED. A new algorithm intelligently optimizes incoming SDR signals to near HDR level, providing improved picture quality.

The TV is equipped with Bang & Olufsen speakers and select sizes come with a pedestal stand. The QM7K is available in sizes ranging from 55 inches to 115 inches, with prices starting at around $1,300 for the smallest model and up to $20,000 for the 115-inch version.
