Game Freak held a Pokémon Presents livestream to announce two new Pokémon games. Pokémon Legends: Z-A is an upcoming game that takes place in a massive version of Lumiose City, which first appeared in Pokémon X and Y. The game features a hybrid of real-time capture mechanics and old-school turn-based gameplay. It will also bring back Mega Evolutions, a mechanic first introduced in Pokémon X and Y. The game is set to be released by the end of the year for the Nintendo Switch. On the other hand, Pokémon Champions is a dedicated battle sim that allows for cross-platform play between Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. It integrates with Pokémon Home, allowing players to pull their favorite Pokémon from various games, including Pokémon Go and recent mainline entries like Pokémon Sword and Shield. The game's release window has not been announced yet.
