Lamborghini's Electric Future

Lamborghini is taking a major step towards electrification with the development of its first pure electric vehicle. The new car, previewed by the 2023 Lamborghini Lanzador concept, will be a 2+2-seater coupe with a highly flexible SSP architecture. According to Oliver Blume, Volkswagen Group CEO and boss of Porsche, the vehicle will have up to 2,000 horsepower, making it the most powerful Lamborghini ever.

The production car will feature all-wheel drive, with high-performance electric motors spinning each axle. An electronic management system will precisely distribute torque to all four wheels, allowing for exceptional acceleration and agility. The car's 'Ultra GT' bodystyle, as described by Lambo boss Stefan Winkelmann, will be bigger and heavier than other Lamborghini models, but rear-wheel steering will help boost agility and stability at high velocities.

The vehicle will be powered by a 980-volt electrical architecture, surpassing that of the Lotus Evija hypercar and Rimac's Nevera. While the exact construction materials have not been confirmed, the car will be assembled in Sant'Agata, Lamborghini's hometown. As promised by Oliver Blume, the new Lamborghini will be a typical example of the brand's emotional design, creating a great impression on its drivers and passengers.
