Instagram's algorithms are designed to show users content that is similar to what they usually watch or interact with, but in this case, the error is causing users to see content that is not typically surfaced by the algorithm. Some users have reported seeing similar videos even after enabling their Sensitive Content Control or clicking 'Not Interested' on a Reel with violent or sexual content. Meta's policy is to remove graphic content and add warning labels to other graphic content, but some of the videos reported by users should not have been on Instagram in the first place.
