Flashes, developed by Berlin-based developer Sebastian Vogelsang, has launched publicly on the App Store, gaining nearly 30,000 downloads in its first 24 hours. The app allows users to upload up to four photos and videos of up to a minute in length, and features a range of customization options, including multiple custom feeds and a 'Portfolio Mode' for curating profiles. Flashes is built on the AT Protocol, the same underlying protocol that powers Bluesky, which has gained significant momentum with over 32 million users. The app's design means that all posts made on Flashes are compatible with Bluesky, allowing users to reach a wider audience beyond those using the Flashes app itself.
