Introduction to Amtrak's Updated App
Amtrak has recently updated its mobile app to provide a more user-friendly experience for its riders. The new features include the ability to easily look up train status and schedule changes, making it simpler for passengers to plan their trips.
The app now displays train status and schedule changes right on the reservation screen, within 24 hours of the trip. This allows riders to stay up-to-date on any changes to their journey. Additionally, business class riders on assigned seating trains, such as Acela, can now choose their preferred seating during the booking process.
Other Updates and Improvements
Based on customer feedback, Amtrak has also updated the homescreen to separate tickets from marketing information and messages. A new My Trips tab provides easier viewing of active trips and allows users to jump to upcoming or past trips. Furthermore, the app now enables users to modify parts of their trip, making travel adjustments easier while keeping the best available fares.
The updated app is available now on both iOS and Android platforms. With these new features, Amtrak aims to enhance the overall travel experience for its passengers and encourage more people to choose train travel over cars and planes.
