Developer Innersloth has revealed a new game called Among Us 3D, which brings the hit multiplayer deduction game to a three-dimensional world from a first-person perspective. This new version is similar to the VR version launched in 2022 but will be playable without a headset. Among Us 3D will allow for cross-play between Steam PC users and VR players on various platforms, including Meta Quest, Steam VR, PlayStation VR 2, and PICO. The original 2D version of Among Us will still be available, but there will be no cross-play between the two versions. Innersloth also introduced a new in-game currency called 'stardust,' which can be used to purchase cosmetics in Among Us 3D. The studio has confirmed that 'stardust' will not be used for buying actual game modes or features. A demo for Among Us 3D will be available as part of Steam Next Fest, and the full game is set to launch on Steam soon.
